Entertainment : In Depth - Real Steel

I’m not a big fan of boxing, for obvious reasons. However, a movie featuring robots that replace human boxers, coached by HUGH JACKMAN, is another story.

“Real Steel” plays the Palace on Friday, November 11 through Thursday, November 17 at 7 p.m. nightly, and Monday, November 14 at 2 p.m.

With a running time just over two hours, and a PG-13 rating for action, violence and language, you’ll want to leave younger kids with a sitter. Fathers and sons should love the realistic boxing sequences, and moms and daughters will enjoy Hugh Jackman’s….everything.

The Vinton Palace Theater continues to be a great value for entertainment. Our family of five can see a 3D movie for a $20 bill. Keep up all the great work!

Great job to everyone who's managed the Palace - Jan & Lu, Dave & Kim, Gerald & Marcy (Is that everyone? I hope my memory serves correctly...) - to keep it a facility we can be very proud of. The $1 increases seem to be because Hollywood has forced the hand. Either way, we are still fortunate to have a theater that shows new movies that we don't have to drive far to see!

Hey Guys, don't feel bad about having to up the price some! We knew it would happen sooner or later. It always does. Judi and have been wondering sometimes how you have managed to keep it down so low for so long anyway! Never fear, we will be there, as always.

We’d like your assistance with one more thing – a new slogan. “The Only $3 3D in the World” had a short, but enthusiastic run. And now we’re at a loss. A patron mentioned this concept the other night, and I do like it – “Your Home Theatre.” And a staff member recently sent me a text with this idea – “2D for 3, 3D for 4! Still a great price, for just a dollar more!”
