Charlee Johnson Member of the Month - Charlee JohnsonAs a Senior, Charlee has attended many activities in her time in FFA, including National Convention, Spaghetti Dinner, and helping with Trash Barrels. This year, she has increased her involvement and as a result, will be receiving her Iowa Degree this Spring at State Convention. Her SAE project has her working with pigs and her horse.

Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa’s 2022 Scholarship Deadline is March 9

 The Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa’s 2022 scholarship application deadline is 8:00 p.m. on March 9, 2022. The online application can be found on the Community Foundation’s website at www.cfneia.org/scholarships. CFNEIA awarded $526,960 in scholarships to high school, college, and adult students in 2021. A total of 271 scholarships were awarded to students pursuing higher education opportunities and the average amount awarded was $1,976.

Benton County Community Foundation’s Grant Application Deadline is March 15

The deadline to submit grant applications to the Benton County Community Foundation’s 2022 grant cycle is 5:00 p.m. on March 15. The online grant application can be found on the Community Foundation’s website at www.bentonccf.org. Grants are awarded to projects within the program areas of arts and culture, community betterment, education and youth development, environment and animal welfare, health and human service.

The meeting was called to order and roll call was answered with your favorite animal. The secretary and treasurer’s reports were read. The club has a balance of $1,598.

University of Dubuque Fall 2021 Academic Dean's List

The University of Dubuque congratulates Brock Radeke and Bryce Radeke both of Vinton on being appointed to the Fall Semester 2021 Academic Dean's List. To be named to the dean's list, a student must earn a grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale for that semester. The University of Dubuque is a private university offering undergraduate, graduate, and theological seminary degrees as well as other educational opportunities with the intention of educating and forming the whole person.
