Et cetera : 100 + 2: Bethlehem Lutheran helps Vinton Feeds the World

On June 28, 2015, Bethlehem Lutheran Church presented a gift of $102.00 to the Vinton Feeds the World, God's Work, Our Hands food packaging event. On September 13th, in conjunction with Outreach Inc., Bethlehem Lutheran and other area churches will participate in a food packaging event at the Vinton Skate Center at 1pm. During this event, we will package 20,000+ meals to be distributed locally and internationally. Each meal costs $.25. At least 1/2 of the meals package will be kept in Benton County. In the United States, as a whole, statistics show that 1 out of every 6 people is "food insecure", the majority of these people are children. Hunger is an epidemic everywhere, even in Benton County! We need at least 180 people to make this event a success. We have 30 people who have signed up thus far...Join us, it only takes an hour to make a difference.
