Wartburg College awarded diplomas to 298 students during Spring Commencement May 24.

Allison Emrich of Vinton graduated with a degree in fitness management. She is the daughter of Mark and Kimberly Emrich.

Megan Jorgensen of Vinton graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in history and peace & justice studies. She is the daughter of Patrick and Nancy Jorgensen.

Andrea Lohf of Luzerne graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in english. She is the daughter of David and Kathy Lohf.

Sydney Mackey of Urbana graduated with a degree in elementary education. She is the daughter of Paula K. Mackey and Thomas W. Mackey.

Haley Peters of Dysart graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in elementary education. She is the daughter of Jeff and Michelle R. Peters.

Zachary Twedt of Atkins graduated with a degree in business administration. He is the son of Joe and Jodi Twedt.

Brooke Visser of Atkins graduated with a degree in business administration. She is the daughter of Bruce and Kathy Visser.

Another 41 students are expected to graduate in August. Thirty-six members of the Class of 2015 graduated in December.

Wartburg, a four-year liberal arts college internationally recognized for community engagement, enrolls 1,661 students. Wartburg is affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and named after the castle in Germany where Martin Luther took refuge disguised as a knight during the stormy days of the Reformation while translating the Bible from Greek into German.
