Jamie Rich, a senior psychology major from Belle Plaine, was recently honored at Buena Vista University's student recognition event.
Rich received the following recognition:
Rich received an Academic Excellence Award as a third year student. This Academic Excellence Award is given to students on the Storm Lake campus whose cumulative GPA is 3.75 or greater, representing approximately the top 10% of each class. She was nominated for inclusion in Who's Who Among Colleges and University Students in America. Selection is based on academic achievements, campus leadership and faculty recommendations. Rich was awarded The Conover International Travel Fund. Every year at BVU students have amazing opportunities to complete internships that help prepare them for their careers, do significant research in their discipline and travel nationally and internationally. Many of our students awarded gift assistance to help assure they could pursue these opportunities. This support is made available through the generous contributions of alumni and friends. Rich was also awarded The William and Lavina Wesselink Student Development Fund. Every year at BVU students have amazing opportunities to complete internships that help prepare them for their careers, do significant research in their discipline, and travel nationally and internationally.
