Et cetera : We salute our American Legion

I would like to publicly recognize and thank Vinton’s George G. Luckey American Legion Post #57 for the wonderful tribute they pay our deceased veterans and their families.

When a family requests military rites for a deceased family member who is a veteran, Post #57 responds.

The veterans who serve on the Honor Guard do so with compassion, precision and respect. They honor the veteran, whether that person was a member of the Legion or not.

These veterans endure all kinds of weather conditions without a complaint.

Thank you for your commitment, not only to veterans who have served our country, but to our community as well. You make this a better place to live because of your actions and your example.
