Et cetera : Dr. (Rev.) Lyle and Marilyn Dake Celebrate 65th Anniversary

Dr.(Rev) Lyle Dake and Marilyn (White) Dake of Lawrenceville IL will celebrate their 65th anniversary on Monday, April 25th. Lyle is a 1956 graduate of the Vinton High School and Marilyn graduated from Urbana High School in 1957 The couple were married at the Little Brown Church in Nashua IA and have been blessed with 4 children, 3 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

The couple have shared in Lyle's military career as he served 20 years in the Armed Forces, followed by another 20 years in the banking industry, During this time he also taught college classes at night, and then received his Doctorate in Theology, worked as a cruise ship chaplain and interim pastor. Marilyn has had the privilege of being able to be home with the children and as a support for her husband's endeavors.
