Hometown: San Diego, California

Lynne is serving as the Hickory 4 NCCC FEMA Corps Team Leader at the Vinton Campus. She chose to participate in AmeriCorps NCCC FEMA Corps because she wanted to make a difference and give back to the community.

Lynne graduated from Valhalla High School in 2008 and Whittier College in May 2012 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and Spanish and a minor in anthropology. After her service term ends she plans to participate in other service programs such as the Peace Corps and hopes to someday work with NGOs and non-profit organizations.

Lynne has traveled extensively and spent a lot of time in Spain where she worked with Spanish NGOs, studied Spanish culture, and researched the adjustment of African migrants to Spanish life in Spain. She can speak Spanish fluently and has a hidden talent as a belly dancer and cellist.
