Name: Moses Sunbeam

Hometown: Ukiah, Calif.

Moses is serving as a member of the NCCC FEMA Corps team Pine 4 at the Vinton Campus. He chose to participate in NCCC FEMA Corps because he wanted to gain new experiences, build his resume, and earn an education award to use towards paying off student loans.

Moses graduated from Ukiah High School in 2006 and attended San Diego State University where he studied philosophy. After finishing school he chose not to transition into a career and decided to join NCCC FEMA Corps in order to see the country, meet new people, and receive valuable work experience. He hopes that his time with AmeriCorps will help him figure out what his next steps will be.
