Berks among first place winners in State Fair Berkshire show

Brice Conover of Baxter won the Champion Gilt Berkshire Show at the 2017 Iowa State Fair. The Reserve Gilt was shown by Reed Family Berks of Ottumwa. The Grand Champion Boar banner went to Four Generations Berkshire of Ida Grove while the Reserve Champion Boar banner was awarded to Long Family Farms of Cedar.

Community Christmas Choir: All area singers invited

All area adults and teens are invited to join in a Community Christmas Choir, which will perform at the Vinton Presbyterian Church on Dec. 3. Bonnie Beyer is directing this choir.
