Aaron Sackett among Wartburg Homecoming King candidates

The 2010 Center Point-Urbana Homecoming King is now among the candidates for that honor at Wartburg. Aaron Sackett, the son of Chris and Rose Sackett of Center Point, is a biology major at Wartburg.

VS FFA holds first Greenhand Night

For the first year ever, the Vinton-Shellsburg FFA chapter held a local Greenhand night for new FFA members on Tuesday October 1, 2013. “Greenhand” stands for a first year member in FFA, not necessarily just for the freshmen, though our night was not just limited to the first year members, anyone was welcome to come.

Eric Docherty, from Hampton, Penn., is a member of Maple 3 in NCCC’s Class 19. He arrived in Vinton on February 5, 2013, to start his 10-month service term on a team of people between the ages of 18 and 24.
