AmeriCorps NCCC Class 19 Corps Member Spotlight: Robert Barker

Robert Barker, from Lapeer, Mich., is a member of Cedar 4 in NCCC’s Class 19. He arrived in Vinton on February 5, 2013, to start his 10-month service term on a team of people between the ages of 18 and 24.

AmeriCorps NCCC lends a caring hand at Badger Camp

By Zackary Hall Cedar 1 is lending a hand to the Wisconsin Badger Camp in Platteville, Wis. from August 9 to September 27.  The team is assisting with campers who have behavioral and physical disabilities, while giving them a fun and safe camping experience.

Cedar 7 on the Trail in Jeffersonville, Indiana

By Alex Bissell On Friday, August 9, Cedar 7 arrived in Jeffersonville, Indiana to help the Ohio River Greenway Commission. Their service includes trail maintenance, bridge maintenance, graffiti removal and removing invasive plant species like Johnson grass.
