Garrison Bettterment Committee needs votes for Pepsi grant for park renovation

The Garrison Betterment Committee has currently been working on securing funds to renovate the city park. Yesterday they received notice that their project is in the running for a $50,000 grant through the Pepsi Refresh Project.

Just about every day I drive past Minne Estema and never really gave it much thought, until.....there was a brief discussion on our Facebook page about a steamboat being part of our history in Vinton, and I believe someone mentioned that Minne Estema used to be a resort at one time.
