If you're bored, and just can't find anything to do, the library has you covered!The March calendar is stuffed FULL of activities for everyone! From guided journaling to Adult Coloring time, Assisted Living conversations, Headstart Storytime, DIY bird feeders...just about anything you can think of, the library has it!Check out their calendar below!

Garrison Lions Beef & Noodle Dinner April 1, 5-7 p.m.

Join the Garrison Lions Club on Saturday, April 1st, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm for our 3rd Annual Beef & Noodles fundraiser. You can either dine in or grab and go. Everything will take place at the Fire Station in Garrison. We will also be handing out the items you ordered during our food sales drive at the same time.The menu will be homemade Beef & Noodles, green beans, a roll, and fruit.

Kiwanis Annual Pancake Day Fundraiser this Saturday, March 4

The Vinton Kiwanis Club will be holding its annual Pancake Breakfast on Saturday, March 4 from 7-11:00 a.m.Breakfast will be served in the Vinton-Shellsburg High School cafeteria. The menu includes pancakes, sausage, eggs, and refreshments. A freewill donation will be accepted.Proceeds from the breakfast will be used for community projects such as:VS SCHOLARSHIPS EASTER EGG HUNTBIKE RODEO3RD GR.

CENTER POINT FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY ANNOUNCES: HIBERNATION TIME IS UP!

Friends of the Center Point Library is bringing back the music by sponsoring a free Bluestone jazz concert March 23 at 6:30 p.m. in the Library Community Room. Friends of the Center Point Library can’t “bear” any more winter. Friends is breaking out of the winter cave with a spring jazz concert.The free concert by Bluestone Jazz Collective is Thursday, March 23, at 6:30 p.m. in the Library Community Room. Bluestone, based in Independence, has been together since 2009 playing Blues, Dixieland, ballads and jazz standards.

Vinton Parks and Rec will hold Bingo on Sunday night,

Family Bingo will be held this coming Sunday night at the Vinton Skate Center, the center is located at 1703 C Ave. No registration is needed. The doors open at 4:45 p.m. and the games will begin at 5:00 p.m. and run until 7:00 p.m. Prizes are awarded for every round!Concessions are available. No food is to be brought in. Come on out and

LaPorte City Fire Rescue Soup Supper, Saturday 4-7 p.m.

The LaPorte City Fire and Rescue Soup Supper will be held on Saturday, 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM. The event will be held at the LaPorte Cty American Legion Post 207. The Legion is located at 302 Cedar St., in La Porte City.On the menu is Chili and Chicken and Noodle soup. The cost, a freewill donation.Please come and join us!!

The Shellsburg American Legion Saturday morning breakfast is held each Saturday. Among us in Real Life presented by area Teens

Our Teen Advisory Board is hosting their first event at the library! They have created Among Us in Real Life, come join the fun!the event will be held on March 6, beginning at 3:30 p.m. at the Vinton Public Library. Designed for Middle School-High School ages. BINGO! with us at the Shellsburg Legion, Saturday, February 25

The Shellsburg Lions will hold Bingo at the Legion on Saturday, February 25. The Legion will provide food with minimal charge. ($2-3 and beverages $1) The Blackout is guaranteed to be $50. Author Chris Davies to hold Book Signing April 1 at Brickside Brew-N-Chew
