The Iowa Braille and Sight Saving School is helping the shelter this week, but in order to do so, they need everyone's help!
Business Camp at Iowa Braille School
The last of three local summer school programs in Vinton for children who are blind or visually impaired will be held at the Iowa Braille School, during the week of July 21 – 26. Fourteen youth from around the state will be engaged in a business camp, in which teams of students will develop a product, then promote and sell that product around the town of Vinton.
Four successful entrepreneurs from the Vinton community will serve as mentors and guide the students’ business ventures. Following mentor approval, the young marketers will begin selling their products on Wednesday and culminate sales at the Vinton Farmers’ Market on Thursday. All proceeds will go to the area’s Friends of the Shelter!
~Items will be for sale at Alco, Dollar General, Fareway, LaGrange Pharmacy, and Cameron's~
~Please share this post, not only to help the shelter, but to make this camp a success!
