Events and Activities : Shellsburg Firemen\'s Auxiliary 5K set for July 19

The second annual Shellsburg Firemen’s Auxiliary Backdraft 5K Run/Walk will take place at 8 a.m. July 19, at Shellsburg Park. Registration fee is $20 before July 1 and $25 after. "This is our 2nd annual race," said member Laurie Ortner. "The funds we raise go to buying things for Fire Prevention Week for the kids, bought some chairs for the SFD used at fires, stock water, Gatorade and whatever else the SFD may need." There will be medals for the 5K race male and female age groups: 0-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+ See the flyer HERE.
