Saturday, August 10, 2019, beginning at 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. the annual Jakes Day will be held.Open to all Jakes (Junions Acquiring Knowledge, Ethics and Sportsmanship for ages 17 and under) events will be held at the Izaak Walton League just north of Vinton.

The repairs to the Vinton American Legion building are complete. We are hosting an open house and would like to invite the public to come and see what we have accomplished, with the help from the community.
