Benton County Republicans have announced plans for a Candidate Forum for those running for office in the June 4th Primary. The event will be held at the Farmer's Mercantile Hall, located at 100 W.

Relay For Life is more than just a fundraising walk. It is a global movement that celebrates cancer survivors and caregivers, honors loved ones, and helps fund the future of cancer research and care.

May is "Get Caught Reading" Month! Get Caught Reading is a nationwide campaign to promote the fun of reading books for all ages. Because research indicates that early language experience actually stimulates a child’s brain to grow and that reading to children gives them a huge advantage when they start school, we hope to encourage people of all ages to enjoy books and magazines and to share that pleasure with the young children in their lives.

The Bike Safety Rodeo will be held on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 from  5:00 PM    6:00 PMGet your bike checked out by the Vinton Police Department and ride a challenging course! Complete the course for a special prize! The event is held at the Recreation Center.

A presentation entitled, "Forgotten Communities of Benton County" will be shared with the community by Iowa’s leading ghost town researcher Dave Baker from, "The 29th State.
