Iowa author Linda McCann will present a talk on her newly released book, Rosie the Riveters of Iowa, on Wednesday, January 17 at 2 PM at Hawkins Memorial Library, La Porte City.

Wesley United Methodist Church will be holding its Food Pantry on Saturday, January 20, from 9-10:30 a.m. The church is located at 516 2nd Ave. (next door to the library) If you place a paper on your windshield the volunteers will deliver food to your cars this month.

The Benton County 4-H will present a "Snow Spectacular" event at the Vinton Public Library on January 5th beginning at 2:00 p.m. This is an event that would be perfect for children in grades K-5th grades.
