Iowa author Linda McCann will present a talk on her newly released book, Rosie the Riveters of Iowa, on Wednesday, January 17 at 2 PM at Hawkins Memorial Library, La Porte City.

Wesley United Methodist Church will be holding its Food Pantry on Saturday, January 20, from 9-10:30 a.m. The church is located at 516 2nd Ave. (next door to the library) If you place a paper on your windshield the volunteers will deliver food to your cars this month.

The Center Point Historical Society is celebrating Valentine’s Day with a free-to-the-public chocolate festival party at the Depot Museum, 700 E. Washington St.

Participants will paddle their way around winding bends, rapids, scenic waterfalls, cold springs, and 200-foot chimney bluffs.

The Benton County 4-H will present a "Snow Spectacular" event at the Vinton Public Library on January 5th beginning at 2:00 p.m. This is an event that would be perfect for children in grades K-5th grades.

Join us Sunday, March 10th, 2024 at 5 pm for a Red Carpet Fundraiser at the Vinton Public Library!  We will have drinks, appetizers, and movie trivia, along with 2 large screen TVs airing the Academy Awards Red Carpet Arrivals!  The event is open to patrons 21+, and we will be accepting free-will donations.

Open Craft Night will be held at the Vinton Public Library after hours event for adults!Bring your own craft project to the library, and spend time with others in our community!Everyone is welcome - no craft? No problem! We'll have colored pencils, jigsaw puzzles and a paint by number canvas available.
