Hello District 84 from the State Capitol!It was a busy week as the Iowa House and Senate passed some very important bills. Senate File 75 passed both chambers nearly unanimous. This bill, in my opinion, will have a positive impact on health care in the rural areas of Iowa. It creates licensure for rural emergency hospitals, which will allow these facilities to be 24-hour emergency rooms but will not have acute inpatient care. Warranty Deed Land Transfers 3/9/23

Week 9
Week nine has brought a lot of debate, as expected post-funnel. One of the bills debated
and passed was SF 478. This legislation was created to prevent the State Auditor from accessing
an individual's information that would reasonably be expected to be kept private. Examples of
that private information would be medical and academic records, information not necessary for

Pursuant to Code of Iowa Sec. 50.51, the Secretary of
State’s Office has ordered a post-election audit of the
March 7, 2023, Special Benton Community School
District Election for the Homer-Kane-Keystone,
precinct. The Benton County Auditor’s Office will
conduct this audit on Monday, March 13, 2023, at
12:30 p.m. The audit will take place in the Auditor’s
Office at the Benton County Courthouse on the 2nd
floor, 111 E 4th Street, Vinton, IA.
