At this point, the state of Iowa does not have a law concerning the wearing of masks. Some have contacted me asking me to remind people that it is the law, when in fact it is not.

On August 4th, 2020, at approximately 10:16 p.m., Vinton Police were dispatched to 1306 H Avenue in Vinton for a report of a fight in progress. Officers subsequently arrested Donald Arthur Kading, age 42, of Van Horne, for an assault that had injured another adult male.

Tuesday, August 4th, the Vinton City Council met in a special session to appoint an interim City Clerk.
