Following the resignation of Kelly Geater last November, the Treasurer's office has seen several changes. Michele Sauer was appointed in December and resigned for another position effective March 31, 2020.

The Benton County Board of Supervisors voted to extend the following decision to close Benton County facilities through the April 30th date set by Iowa Governor, Kim Reynolds.

Today, Gov. Reynolds signed a new proclamation continuing the State Public Health Emergency Declaration, ordering additional closures and relaxing additional regulations to support the state’s efforts to combat COVID-19.

COVID-19 cases in Iowa, additional deaths confirmed New Benton County case

The Iowa Department of Public Health (IDPH) has been notified of 78 additional positive cases for a total of 946 positive cases. There have been an additional 680 negative tests for a total of 10,653 negative tests to date, which includes testing reported by the State Hygienic Lab and other labs.

Governor Reynolds orders campgrounds, cabins, yurts and playgrounds close

In a proactive effort to prevent further spread of Covid-19, this morning Governor Reynolds signed a proclamation closing all public campgrounds, cabins and yurts temporarily, as well as all outdoor playgrounds through April 30.
