Government : County to create Human Resource Position

On Tuesday, Benton County took steps to create a new position for the county. The position would be a Human Resource director. It would be a full-time position with a proposed salary between 65 and 75 thousand a year.

The job description has not been decided, but it would include things like dealing with personnel conflicts, union negotiations, insurance issues, updating the employee handbook, making sure that the county is up-t0-date on laws.

Office space would be in the county's access center. The job will be advertised for 30 days, and applications must be submitted by April 19.
