Are you one of the approximately 18,000 Iowans who requested an absentee ballot and never returned it to your county auditor? If you answered yes and you still have your ballot in your possession, DO NOT MAIL your ballot! Unlike in years past postmarks do not count. At this point you can either:1) make a plan to hand deliver it to your county auditor by 8:00 P.M. on Election Day, OR2) make a plan to surrender your ballot and vote in person at your polling place on November 8. If you've already mailed your absentee ballot, click here to track it and ensure it's been received by your county auditor.https://sos.iowa.gov/.../absenteeballo.../absentee/search...
  • Polls will be open from 7:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M on Election Day. Remember your Voter ID!
  • Many Iowans had their polling places change due to redistricting. Find your polling place by clicking here.
  • Double check to make sure you're registered to vote by clicking here. If you aren't registered or your address isn't up to date, you may need to reregister at the polls. For information on Election Day Registration, click here.
  • If you see something suspicious report it to precinct election officials immediately. Additionally, you can contact my office by calling (888) SOS-VOTE (888-767-8683).

If you need any additional information, please visit VoterReady.Iowa.Gov or contact your county auditor.
