NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSAL TO ASSESS PROPERTY OWNER FOR DESTRUCTION OF NOXIOUS WEEDS ON PRIVATE PROPERTY

In accordance with Section 317.21(3) of the 2024 Code of Iowa, notice is hereby given that the Board of Supervisors of Benton County, Iowa, will conduct a public hearing on November 26, 2024, at 9:30 A.M., Central Time, in the Conference Room of the Benton County Board of Supervisors, Benton County Service Center, 811 D Ave, Vinton, Iowa, concerning costs assessed for destruction of noxious weeds. Costs were assessed at the following location: parcel number 540-02500.

At said time and place a hearing will be conducted on the assessment and at such hearing, any person interested may appear and comment on the proposed plan. The Board of Supervisors shall hear said comments and any evidence for or against the assessment and forthwith make a final determination on the assessment.

A copy of the assessment is on file at the office of the Benton County Auditor, Benton County Courthouse, 2nd floor, 111 E 4th Street, Vinton, Iowa, and at the Weed Department, 205 2nd Ave., Vinton, Iowa, and may be examined at such times as said offices are open to the public.
