Health and Fitness : Give of Yourself this March: Be a Volunteer

In the month of March, LifeServe Blood Center is recognizing our volunteer chairpeople who selflessly give of their time to make sure our mobile blood drives are successful. They work to secure locations for drives to be held; recruit volunteers to assist with set up, registration, canteen, and tear down; and to recruit volunteer blood donors.

 According to volunteer statistics, in 2024, more than 970 million individuals around the world participated in some form of volunteer work, which represents about 12.5% of humanity. If you are looking for a way to volunteer locally with your community blood center, LifeServe Blood Center has multiple opportunities, including being a volunteer chairperson. You can also be a generous, volunteer blood donor.

The next blood donation time at Virginia Gay Hospital will be on Friday, March 28th 11:45 am - 3:30 pm. The hospital is located at 502 N 9th Ave Vinton, IA 52349.
