The Benton County Sheriff's office has announced that several juveniles and one adult have been charged following the investigation into to reports of gatherings involving teens in possession of marijuana last week, including one incident involving five teens that took place during a Benton Community football game.

The Benton County Sheriff's Office participated in a special enforcement wave on September 28th. Deputies focused their attention on Highway 30 west of 218 where there have been public complaints of excessive speeding.

Although his photo has been shared more than 2,100 times already on Facebook, after initially appearing on the page belonging to talk show host Ellen Degeneres, Vinton native Blaine Schwartz says he does not deserve any recognition for his response in helping a stranger during the Las Vegas shooting Sunday night.
