News : VS FFA Officer Team meets at Clear Lake for annual Retreat

A variety of unsual teamwork activities helped the officers learn to work better together.

Dream boxes: VS FFA officer filled them with goals, hopes for coming year, and their future.

From July 10-12, 2013 the Vinton-Shellsburg officer team went camping at Clear Lake for their officer retreat together.

During officer retreat the team bonded together in games, ice breaker activities, and working together during sessions. They learned what each other's personalities are and how they can all work with each other. They went over what their most important characteristics in themselves are and made bracelets with beads that had those characteristics. They worked on our chapters POA, and talked about goals and duties as officers. Mixed in with all the work, was the fun. They also went tubing, swimming, and on a pontoon. They talked about the theme for the coming year, and various ideas and changes to make throughout the year.

The team had three great chaperones to accompany them, Advisor Louise Fleming, Scott Fleming, and Assistant Sarah Kirschbaum. Overall all of the officers had a great time together, and will do everything they can to make this a great year!
