Remember the Macarena

Vinton-Shellsburg Middle School sixth graders probably will, even though the famous song and dance were a craze in the mid-1990s, a few years before the member of the VS Class of 2020 were born.

The sixth graders performed a "flash mob" version of the famous dance from the 1990s during the "Cruisin' Through the Decades" concert Tuesday evening.

The concert included Isaac Wiley as Elvis, accompanied by a few screaming, stage rushing females as he sang "Hound Dog."

Songs from the Beatles ("I wanna hold your hand") and Billy Joel ("It's still rock and roll to me") and even rapper Vanilla Ice made their way to the stage as sixth, seventh and eighth grade choirs, ensembles and a few smaller groups performed.
