The few short weekends Oak 3 spent in Vinton were more than sufficient to discover its hospitable residents and friendly character. Even when the weather was not warm, the hearts of the people of Vinton were.
For making our home away from our hometowns so special, Oak 3 would like to extend heartfelt and sincere gratitude to the City of Lights. As we go forth from here, back to our own corners of the country and world, we will always have our memories from Vinton. And the next time someone scoffs at Iowa as a “fly-over state,” we can explain exactly what he or she is missing out on.
