News : Work continues on 911 safe room, prison walls

A crane from Kleiman, Inc. lifts forms for the concrete to be poured for 911 safe room.

The work continues on the Benton County Law Enforcement Center. The laying of the concrete blocks for the west wall of the jail area is nearly complete. Crews from Kleiman Construction are working today on the 911 safe room, setting up the forms for the concrete that will be poured.

The safe room is designed to withstand tornado-force winds. It includes thick concrete on all four walls as well as the ceiling.
