News : AmeriCorps Oak, Cedar units to graduate Thursday

The second year AmeriCorps Cedar and Oak members will graduate Thursday, Aug. 4, ending their participation in the program. Graduation takes place at 9 a.m. in the auditorium of the Iowa Braille School, where AmeriCorps has its dorms and offices. The teams will have tables set up at 8 a.m. to share some photos and other memorabilia of their time in AmeriCorps and the places where they have served over the past 10 months. The public is invited to attend the graduation. The next new teams will arrive in January, just as the first Maple Unit members complete their service in the program.
