Benton County Sheriff Randall Forsyth reports that deputies answered 312 calls for service and investigated 15 accidents. Deputies attempted to serve 176 civil papers and issued 65 traffic citations and 175 traffic warnings.
There were 22 arrests/juvenile referrals with 29 charges being filed in September 2014.
(3) were felony charges, (10) were simple misdemeanors, and (16) were indictable misdemeanors.
Charges included: Arrest Warrants served – 8; Child Endangerment – 1; Driving While Suspended / Revoked / Barred – 4; Drug Related – 7; OWI – 5; Possession of Alcohol Underage – 2; Public Intoxication – 1; Violation of No Contact Order -1.
A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
