Friends and family of Paul Duello planted this tree in his memory at Riverside Park.
Family and friends of the late Paul Duello gathered at Riverside Park on Thursday evening to plant a tree in memory of Paul Duello who passed away recently.
The tree was purchased and planted by Frazier's Nursery thanks to the generous gifts by Paul's classmates of 1986. Leading the memorial was classmate Michele Sauer who stated "we wanted a strong sturdy tree because that was the kind of person that Paul was and the way he lived." The Parks & Recreation Department ordered a Burr Oak Tree, which will become a very prominent tree for decades and is also our state tree. Director of Parks & Recreation, Duane Randall said "Memorial trees such as this not only give family and friends a beautiful way to remember a loved one but also serve as a gift to our whole community. Our thoughts go out to the family and we appreciate very much the Class of 1986 for their thoughtfulness."
