News : Turkey trot runners brave Thanksgiving cold for three miles

It's clearly to see why Heather Kalous won the Turkey Trot 3-mile run costume contest.

It was 2 degrees above zero when the Turkey Trot runners gathered for the race Thanksgiving morning.

Despite the 2 degree temperature, participants say they had a great turn out of local runners for a Turkey Trot run Thanksgiving morning. Molly Noren and Alice Timmerman organized the event.

"We served hot chocolate and donuts out of my trunk when the race was over," says Molly.

Heather Kalous won the prize for best original running wear; she dressed as a turkey. Brandan Price was the overall winner and he received a special Christmas mug from Goodwill and a stocking cap donated by Tharp Design.
