Students ended the school day on Friday with an energetic, high-intensity contest with lots of trash talking, celebration of wins and groans expressing the agony of defeat.
They were playing Bingo.
Principal Ryan Davis drew the numbers while students used pieces of cereal or candy to mark the numbers under the five famous columns. Each winner received his or her choice of a variety of candy bars; the very last game, a "blackout," offered a prize of a giant candy bar. Tanner Rocarek and Riley Pritchart were the winners of those.
PTO Presdident Lisa Dekowski said the organization is hoping to organize a spring dance, but needs some volunteers to help make that happen. End of year celebrations and other events are also part of the PTO school calendar. The organization raised its money this year through take-home art projects (drawings or painting preserved in t-shirts and mugs, etc.) and a fun night.
Anyone who wants to help with the spring dance or other PTO activities is asked to email Lisa at lisa3840@gmail.com.
