News : Love for Liv: Spencers plan to join Heart Walk, selling candles again

Olivia Spencer, the daughter of Steve and Kendra Spencer, is joining her parents in planning to participate in the Aug. 1 Heart Walk in Cedar Rapids

"We are always advocates for this due to their continued research. Without continued research there would be no hope for many of the children born with congenital heart disease," says Kendra.Back in the 1980s, if a child was born with hypoplastic left heart syndrome, like our daughter Olivia, there was zero chance for survival. But because of continued research there are now three life-saving surgeries that can prolong the use of her heart."

Unfortunately, not much is known about the future for Olivia, and many other children like her.

"This is where our fundraising takes an important role. It's because of this generosity, life saving research is made," Kendra explains.
Right now the Spencers are holding their annual Love for Liv candle and breakaway scents fundraiser. The proceeds we receive will go directly to The American Heart Association.
Kendra is also donating 10% of all of profits at Kendra Lee Photography (web site www.kendra-spencer.com) from now until August 1 to The American Heart Association.
