News : Tilford students celebrate end of year with Silly String and concert

Students from 4M laugh as they cover Mr. Murray with Silly String during Wednesday's assembly.

Tilford Elementary staff and students planned two celebrations on the last day of school on Wednesday. In the morning they gathered to present awards and to celebrate the success of their PTO Box Tops 4 Education program, which exceeded its $3,000 goal and earned well over $4,000 for school equipment and activities. The winning class 4M, with teacher Emily McLaughlin, won the right to cover Mr. Murray and PTO leader Megan McNeill with silly string.

Mr. Frazier and his band, "Hard Barney" entertained the students and teachers with several classic rock hits while they danced in the aisles of the auditorium.
