News : Drug probe: Officers execute search warrant at apartment in Vinton

On May 30, 2015, at approximately 6:40 a.m., officers from area law enforcement agencies served a search warrant at 1607 W. 1st Street, Apt. 1, in Vinton as part of an ongoing investigation into activities that include the alleged use and sale of illegal drugs.

Six individuals ranging in age from 16 – 20 years of age who were inside the residence were briefly detained during the search warrant service. Three of those six individuals were under the age of 18 and were released to the custody of their parents. No criminal charges have been filed at this time but this is an ongoing investigation.
