On Saturday, June 11th, the Vinton-Shellsburg FFA helped out at the Garrison Fun Day. This event took place from 2 pm to 4 pm at the Garrison Fire Station, with activities going on around and inside the station.
Members of the Vinton-Shellsburg FFA Chapter brought in animals, including two horses, 3 cows, 2 donkeys, and 7 rabbits for the children and other visitors of the Garrison Fun Day to pet.
Vinton-Shellsburg FFA Chapter members talked to, and informed, the members of the community about the animals, but then when the event was over they FFA members all cleaned up. After unhooking and putting the gates back that they used to keep the animals in, the members went home.
It was an eventful day and everyone had fun seeing the animals and all of the other exhibits and activities at Garrison Fun Day.
