News : Horridge House now home to various genealogy records

The Horridge House will be open this Saturday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., longer if there is interest.

Stop in to see the new library with over 800 books for research and more to come. 7,000 obituaries have been donated all in books by last name and over 1000 marriage, births, special birthday's etc.

There is also an updated digital site as part of the Library's website where you can view archives of Vinton newspapers from 1855-1983.

We are looking for more volunteers to keep the Horridge House open more hours. We are now open the 1st 2nd and 3rd Monday nights from 5-9 p.m., also on the 1st and 2nd Saturdays from 9 a.m. until 12 noon and more hours by appointment.
