News : Two Weeks left to visit the Vinton Farmer's Market

The Vinton Farmer’s Market season has just two more weeks remaining so be sure to swing on by to pick up some fresh produce and crafts and to sit down with a hot sandwich from Merchant’s Grilling! The Farmer’s Market is held on Thursdays from 5-7 PM at the Vinton Railroad Depot. The theme of our market on Thursday, September 17th was advertised as a “Mystery Market.” With a daily high temperature forecasted at nearly 90 degrees, we are going to try our luck at another ‘Root Beer Float Night’ since the first time around in June was chilly and rainy. Break out the root beer and vanilla ice cream! These floats sell for just $1! The final night on Thursday, September 24th will include some fun games and competitions such as ‘Guess The Watermelon Weight’ and a good ol’ fashioned watermelon seed spitting contest!
