A few days ago, several women who have different views of parenting and motherhood gathered at the historic Vinton Depot for a photo shoot.
Each photo, taken by Kendra Spencer and Jamie Stander of Kendra Lee Photography, included two women who had different experiences, philosophies, or approaches to parenting.
“It was an amazing opportunity,” said Kendra “Orchestrating and bring a part of something that is so much more significant than we realize. The atmosphere that day was very relaxed and vibrant. No one felt different, left out, or judged. For that hour we were all part of something bigger – being moms and raising happy healthy children.
Kendra has also been approached about sharing her experience with a group of women in a Linn County program for families.
“I was overwhelmed and honored,” she said. “They want me to speak about our Mom's Movement, show slides of pictures and to talk about more love and less judgment, to help build these moms up.”
