Marjorie Rouse recently loaded up a minivan to ride with her daughter, Margaret Shontz, to deliver gifts that Marjorie had been working on all year.

"We loaded up the 102 quilts, afghans, and baby blankets she has made and headed to Camp Courageous in Monticello to give them the quilts and afghans," says Shontz. "The 23 baby blankets will be given to the Salvation Army."

Rouse, who was honored as last year's (and the very final) Vinton Woman of the Year, makes these items continually all year, on her own. She has also given many of her items to other organizations. "She helps at her church mission stitchers," says her daughter. "She winds three bobbins at a time. Also knits and crochets a lot. Those things are going to the Salvation Army."
