The second annual Wreaths Across America at Mount Auburn will take place at 11 a.m. tomorrow (Saturday, Dec. 12) at the Mount Auburn Cemetery.

Ruth Coots Intlekofer, the area native who organizes the event and will help lead tomorrow's ceremony, says all 96 veterans in the cemeterry will have a wreath placed in their honor.

"The wreaths have arrived and the fragrance of that fresh balsam is indescribable," she says. "It's another wonderful year for Wreaths Across America in Mt. Auburn. Thanks to donors and volunteers, it is going to be another memorable event in our little town. I am so excited this year for the number of people who called and offered to help."

Making it even greater for Wreaths Across America on the nationals level is that this is the first time that Arlington National Cemetery will have a wreath for each Veteran buried there, Ruth says.

"More than 1,000 cemeteries will be hosting wreath-laying ceremonies at exactly the same time across the nation, carrying the same message: 'Lest we forget: Every stone tells a story,'" she says.
