News : VSHS debate teams do well at State

These VSHS Debate Team performers did well at the recent State event.

The Vinton-Shellsburg 2016 Debate Team performed exceptionally well at the Iowa High School Speech Association’s State Debate Tournament held on the DMACC Campus in Ankeny on Saturday January 8th and 9th. Each team debated five times over the weekend on the topic Resolved: On balance, economic sanctions are reducing the threat Russia poses to Western interests. The Debate team would like to thank the Vinton-Shellsburg Fine Arts Century Club for their generous funding of the hotel rooms.
