Registration is open for Party-In-Pink's fourth annual 5k run/walk to be held on Friday, June 24th in support of Virgnia Gay Hospital and Clinics Gifts of Hope campaign. Runners and walkers can register online at http://bit.ly/partyinpink2016
Virginia Gay supports patients in financial need through the Gifts of Hope program. Gifts of Hope helps pay for appointments, testing, and up to $2500 for treatment for breast cancer and other women’s services like pelvic exams. Just mention Gifts of Hope to your primary health care provider at Virginia Gay for more details. The Gifts of Hope program does not require a lengthy or detailed application process.
"We are fortunate to live in a community where so many people and groups care about others and are willing to help those who for whatever reason, need financial assistance," says VGH Foundation Director Mike Timmermans. "My biggest concern is that people are too proud to ask for assistance. Gifts of Hope is there to be used, no application necessary. Please ask your medical provider about this fund if you need assistance or have questions."
The Party-In-Pink 5k is organized by volunteers with the assistance of the Virginia Gay Hospital Healthcare Foundation and various VGH volunteers. The run was originally organized by Survivors of Benton County, a local breast cancer support group.
In addition to the Party-In-Pink 5k, Gifts of Hope is also generously supported with donations from the Murphy Memorial golf tournament.
