News : How can I say thanks?

Dear Readers,

As we wrap our 6th year of fund raising, I am again, humbled by your kindness and generosity.

Today, we sent out our 153rd thank you note. (Now I still have more if you just haven't gotten around to making a donation.)

Each of you who have sent in a donation, have made the monumental task of recreating Vinton Today's website, possible.

The majority of our donations were from folks that didn't send a large amount, but many, many small amounts.

We had a few large amounts come in as well, and trust me, each of them were appreciated equally.

As it begins to sink in that we are really going to say goodbye to our “old” beautiful website, I almost feel sad to see it go. It's familiar functions, I'm sure I will miss the most. (Read, the old gray mare, she ain't what she used to be...so she's gonna have to buckle down and learn a new set of technology which always scares her)

At the same time, the excitement of seeing a “new” website, is going to be the highlight of our year.

We can never say, "thank you" enough for stepping up, this time to meet a much larger need, as well as larger expenses for another year for Vinton Today.

Our family has been blessed to work with each of you, and each year we are reminded of the kindness of our readers.

“Thank you” can never begin to express our heartfelt appreciation, but this silly English language tends to limit the ways you can say, thank you.

To each of our readers who took a minute to support this effort, you are the best of the best.

Those who have passed through Vinton, and still keep in touch, those that still live here, and those who are planning to leave after graduation, have made up a wonderful community that we are indeed proud to represent in this small way.

Thank you once again, for stepping up, meeting the need and taking care of Vinton Today, you are indeed the best of the best!
