News : Volunteers needed for Clean up at Ball Field again on Thursday

Several members of the Vinton-Shellsburg High School softball team, along with the VS Voyagers Dance Team and several adult volunteers showed up to clean storm debris from the lawn south of Tilford Elementary on Tuesday. The group removed wood, hardware and other items blown there by the storm. Debris damaged the middle school softball field and littered much of the grass.Please consider volunteering to assist with the school cleanup again on Thursday, July 21. Volunteers will start as early as 7:00, but any help during the morning is appreciated. AmeriCorps will be helping on Thursday, July 21. Volunteers should park and meet at the west Tilford parking lot. It is also a great opportunity for VSHS students to earn Viking Black and Gold Hours.
